Custom Frames – Materials They Are Made Of

Picture frames made of natural wood carry a warmth and authenticity that cannot be imitated. Each type of wood brings its own character – from the softness of linden to the strength and elegance of oak. These are the materials I work with most often, creating frames that combine durability and refinement with an individual sense of style. Oak wood frames are stable, solid, and timeless, while pine wood frames feature a lighter tone and gentle texture, ideal for interiors with a natural, calm atmosphere.

A Scandinavian-style frame combines simplicity of form with bright, warm wood and a natural finish. Such designs create a sense of balance, light, and harmony, enhancing the feeling of space in any room. Wood-grain picture frames and textured wood frames highlight the authenticity of the material – the grain, microcracks, and subtle color variations are all part of the intended effect, giving each piece its unique character.

In my workshop, I create wooden picture frames in a variety of styles – from classic to modern, from smooth and minimalist to frames with structural finishes, where the surface has a delicate texture resembling stone or fabric. These finishes work beautifully with both oil paintings and contemporary graphics, adding a subtle play of light and shadow.

I also design mixed-material frames, combining wood with metal, glass, or pigments to achieve unlimited design possibilities. The contrast between the warmth of wood and the coolness of metal results in frames that are unique, modern, and exceptionally durable. This is how I create frames that merge traditional craftsmanship with modern technology – lightweight yet strong, elegant yet understated.

Every project is based on precision and individual adjustment. That’s why I make custom-sized frames, suitable for both small formats and large canvases requiring solid construction. Regardless of size, I maintain the same principles – balanced proportions, harmony, and attention to every detail.

Each frame, no matter the material, is made entirely by hand. These are wooden picture frames in which every detail matters. In my work, there is no room for coincidence – the quality of a frame is never accidental. It’s the result of a thoughtful process where wood, texture, and color work together with the artwork to form a cohesive whole. The goal is for the painting and its frame to speak in one voice.
