Solid wood frame with softly rounded corners, hand-painted white in a satin finish (high gloss available). SGG Miralite® Pure Diamant 4 mm OptiWhite glass. Mirror made to measure.

A mirror in a substantial white frame with softly rounded corners — made for those looking for a mirror made to measure with a modern yet quietly understated character. The simplified geometry of the moulding and the unbroken white surface let this piece sit naturally in contemporary interiors without taking them over. Decorative mirrors of this kind serve both a practical and an aesthetic purpose: they expand the room visually, bring in extra light, and reinforce the character of the arrangement around them.

Where it fits

A white frame with rounded corners suits Scandinavian, minimalist, japandi and contemporary interiors. It works against walls in shades of grey, beige, dusty pink, sage green, or graphite, as well as on white brick or light decorative plaster. This is a mirror for the bathroom, hallway, dressing room and living room — anywhere a clean shape and a pale palette matter. In smaller rooms it visually opens up the space; in larger ones it becomes a calm furnishing element that completes the arrangement without competing with other decoration. The softly rounded corners soften the simple form and pair well with furniture built on organic lines — bowl-shaped armchairs, curved sideboards or arched headboards.

Craftsmanship

The frame is made from solid wood with a 70 × 40 mm profile. Both the outer and inner edges have been gently rounded, giving the whole piece a soft, organic feel despite its simple, geometric form. The surface is sanded repeatedly between coats of paint, so the final finish is smooth, even and free of any visible wood grain. The white finish is applied by hand using a proprietary range of high-pigment, craft-grade paints — the colour is saturated, durable and does not yellow over time. Satin sheen is the standard option; a high-gloss version is available to order, deepening the white and giving the frame a more formal, lacquered character. The inner panel and the sides of the frame are painted in the same colour as the front, so the mirror reads as a coherent piece even when viewed from an angle. The corners of the frame are joined with wooden dowels, which keeps the structure stable and resistant to deformation over years of use. Traditional craft techniques ensure the durability and elegance of every piece.

What sets this frame apart from mass production

Unlike frames mass-produced from plastic profiles or veneered board, this one is made from solid wood in a craft workshop. Each piece passes through several stages of hand work: cutting and matching the mouldings, joining the corners with dowels, sanding, painting coat by coat, and sanding again between coats. The result is a frame with a weight, smoothness and depth of colour that simply cannot be matched by serial production. It is also a piece of unique character — the kind of detail you only notice up close, in the curve of a corner, in the way the colour wraps cleanly onto the side of the frame, in the way light slides across the surface. Both wall mirrors and standing floor mirrors are available in this same frame — just specify your preference when ordering.

Functionality

The mirror is hung on wall brackets fixed to the back of the frame, allowing it to be mounted either vertically or horizontally with no visible hardware. The backing is MDF, which protects the mirror glass from impact and moisture. The standard glass is SGG Miralite® Pure Diamant 4 mm in OptiWhite quality — a low-iron pane that gives a natural reflection without the greenish cast typical of ordinary mirrors. Thanks to the lacquered finish on the frame, this mirror copes well in bathroom conditions and is suited to rooms with raised humidity.

Optional: anti-fog mirror with heating mat

For mirrors intended for the bathroom, a heating mat can be fitted behind the glass to prevent water vapour from condensing on the surface. The mat is wired into the bathroom lighting circuit and switches on automatically with the lights. To order this option, please specify the intended size of the mirror — the option will then be added to the size list on the product page.

Personalisation and made-to-measure orders

The mirror is made in any size — just provide the width and height of the finished mirror including the frame. Beyond white, the frame can be finished in any other colour from the available palette, matched individually to your interior project. Colour samples can be sent on request so you can check the shade in your own lighting. This model also works well as a base for non-standard orders — very narrow hallway mirrors, large living-room formats, or horizontal pieces above a console or basin. A modern mirror in a calm, restrained shape is a sound choice when the interior is meant to stay understated and the mirror is there to support, not dominate. Lead time is typically 2 to 4 weeks depending on size and the chosen finish. For details and an individual quote, please get in touch by email.
