Craftsmanship

The frame is built from solid wood, cut and profiled before the finishing stage begins. Frame corners are joined using wooden dowels. This ensures structural stability and resistance to warping over years of use. Once assembled, the frame is painted in broken white — the front face and sides of the moulding in the same shade. The moulding profile is layered: a wide flat outer panel sits alongside a carved inner section. Distressing is concentrated on the carved part of the profile — controlled abrasion reveals the wood grain and the grey undertone beneath, creating a strong contrast with the clean white of the flat panel. The intensity of ageing is adjusted individually during the hand-finishing process. The surface is then sealed with natural waxes, which bring out the wood texture and leave a subtle, velvety sheen. Traditional craftsmanship techniques ensure the durability and elegance of every piece.

How this frame differs from mass production

Mass-produced decorative mirrors are typically built from MDF wrapped in vinyl film or printed paper. The surface mimics wood or paint, but lacks the depth and natural variation that solid timber provides. Functionality

The frame is fitted with wall brackets for vertical or horizontal mounting. The HDF backing protects the glass and adds rigidity to the structure. SGG Miralite® Pure Diamant 4 mm OptiWhite glass delivers a bright, accurate reflection — free from the greenish cast common in standard mirror glass. The frame and glass are resistant to elevated humidity, making this mirror equally suitable for dry rooms and bathrooms.

Option: mirror with bevel

The glass edge can be cut at an angle up to 20 mm wide. The bevel creates a decorative light effect along the perimeter of the glass and gives the mirror a more refined, classic appearance. Standard glass is SGG Miralite® Pure Diamant 4 mm OptiWhite. For those who appreciate the finest details, the bevel is also available on 5 mm OptiWhite glass — the greater thickness increases the bevel angle, producing a richer and more decorative effect. Additional option: anti-fog mirror with heating mat

A heating mat is fitted between the glass and the MDF backing. It warms the glass surface to a temperature that prevents condensation after a bath or shower. Designed for bathroom use. Available as an add-on when placing the order.
