Craftsmanship

Each frame is built in the workshop from solid wood, with corners joined using wooden dowels. This gives the structure stability and resistance to deformation over years of use. Only after this stage does the frame go to gilding. The surface is hand-made and gilded with real 6 karat white gold leaf — a cool, silvery metal applied one leaf at a time. After drying, the surface is gently smoothed and sealed with a protective lacquer that shields the gilding from moisture, dust, and minor damage.

The moulding profile features softly drawn rolls along both edges with a clear facet between them. As a result, the frame catches light on several planes at once — the front face stays calm and matte, while the edges shine more distinctly when light hits at an angle. The panel and the sides of the frame are finished in the same colour as the front, so the mirror looks coherent from every viewpoint, including from the side.

How this frame differs from mass production

Mass-produced silver frames are usually made by spraying metallised pigments or applying metal-imitating foil. The result is flat, uniform, and tends to dull after a few years. Here, the frame is covered with real metal leaf that does not lose colour or depth — over time it gains a subtle, natural nobility that cannot be reproduced industrially. Traditional craft techniques ensure the durability and elegance of every piece. Functionality

The mirror can be hung horizontally or vertically — sturdy wall brackets are included. The HDF backing provides rigidity and a stable seating for the glass. The SGG Miralite® Pure Diamant 4 mm OptiWhite glass guarantees neutral colour rendering free from the greenish tint typical of standard mirrors — the same quality used in gallery and exhibition mirrors.

Option: bevelled mirror

This model is available with a ground bevel up to 20 mm wide. Part of the bevel is hidden under the frame rebate, leaving a visible edge of approximately 15 mm — distinct but not overdone. The bevel adds optical depth and introduces an extra reflection of light along the edge of the glass. For those who appreciate maximum refinement, a 5 mm OptiWhite glass is also available, in which the bevel angle is steeper and the edge even more pronounced.

Add-on: anti-fog mirror with heating mat

If the mirror is intended for a bathroom, it can be fitted with an anti-fog heating mat that prevents water vapour from settling on the surface. The option is sized individually to the mirror — simply mark it on the order or get in touch directly before the quote.

Personalisation and made-to-measure orders

Every silver mirror is made to measure, fitted to a specific space. Any size is possible — from a small mirror above a vanity to a tall floor mirror leaning against a bedroom wall. The moulding width and depth remain fixed for this model, which keeps the profile coherent regardless of format.

Beyond 6 karat white gold, other finishes are available: silver leaf, 22 karat moon gold, 23 karat gold, and painted finishes in a wide colour palette.
