Linea Slim was designed for interiors with a clear, disciplined character. How it is made

Every Linea Slim frame is built from scratch in the workshop. Solid wood mouldings are cut to size and joined at the corners with wooden dowels before any finishing is applied — a traditional method that keeps the frame stable and resistant to warping over years of use. Only once the frame is assembled does it go through painting, lacquering and gilding. Gold leaf is laid sheet by sheet, by hand, onto a prepared ground. The process takes patience and a steady eye; every section of the surface has to be worked through for the final result to read as even, warm and deep. Linea Slim is finished with genuine 23 karat gold leaf — its glow does not fade over the years, unlike schlagmetal-coated frames, which yellow and darken with time. The sides of the moulding, together with the inner panel, are painted and lacquered in glossy black. Traditional craft techniques give each piece its durability and its quiet elegance.

What sets it apart from mass production

Most „gold framed" mirrors on the furniture market are built from aluminium profiles or foil-wrapped MDF with a metallic-look finish. Linea Slim is a different object. Every frame is made from solid wood, joined with wooden dowels, painted, lacquered and gilded by hand with genuine gold leaf. No two pieces are identical — subtle variations in the gilded surface are a natural mark of handwork, not a flaw. It is a choice for people who would rather have one thing made properly than three made cheaply. The workshop produces both wall-mounted and floor-standing mirrors on individual order.

Function

Linea Slim is designed as a versatile wall mirror. Wall brackets allow it to be hung either vertically or horizontally — the format adapts to the space, not the other way round. The SGG Miralite® Pure Diamant 4 mm mirror, built on OptiWhite glass, gives a neutral, bright reflection free of the greenish cast typical of cheaper mirrors, which matters in rooms with limited daylight. The backing is MDF. The glass is moisture-resistant, so Linea Slim is also suitable for bathroom installations.

Optional: anti-fog mirror with heating mat

Linea Slim can be ordered with a heating mat fitted to the back, which prevents the glass from fogging after a hot shower — particularly useful in bathrooms without forced ventilation. The anti-fog option is priced individually; please contact the workshop before placing the order to add it.

Made to measure and personalisation

Linea Slim is made to measure. You specify the external dimensions of the mirror (including the frame) and the workshop builds a piece fitted to a particular space — whether it is a narrow wall between two doors in a hallway or a larger composition above a living room console. If you have a reference — a photo of the interior, a wall colour sample, a designer's visualisation — you can send it before placing the order so the details can be discussed.

This variant of Linea Slim is offered in a single, refined configuration: 23 karat yellow gold, 18 mm moulding width, glossy black sides. Other gilding options — including 22 karat moon gold and white gold — as well as the wider 22 mm moulding will be available as separate products in the workshop's range.
