Custom Black Framed Mirror with 52 mm High-Gloss Moulding

This mirror in a black frame is made to measure, with a wooden moulding lacquered in high gloss. The glossy surface reflects light along the profile, while the 52 mm width keeps the frame clear and graphic without overpowering the glass. I make each custom framed mirror in my workshop to the size you choose, so it fits a specific wall rather than a stock dimension.

Where it works

A black high-gloss frame suits modern interiors, light walls and sparsely furnished rooms, where it adds a defined outline and echoes other black details such as window frames, lamps or door hardware. How the frame is made

The corners are reinforced with wooden splines before the decorative finish is applied. This strengthens the construction and helps the frame retain its shape during use. The frame is then painted and lacquered in several stages until the surface reaches a high gloss. The moulding is 52 mm wide, and its depth, the height of the profile measured from the wall, is 25 or 37 mm.

How it differs from a mass-produced mirror

I make the mirror to order, as a single piece for your dimensions. I control each stage myself: joining the corners, painting, lacquering and fitting the glass. You choose the moulding depth when ordering, and if you want a different colour or a different level of gloss, we agree it before I start work.

Function and use

The mirror glass is SGG Miralite® Pure Diamant 4 mm on OptiWhite glass, which gives a clear, bright reflection of colours. HDF backing closes the construction. On the back of the frame there are keyhole slots with a metal plate, so the mirror can be hung either vertically or horizontally.

I do not claim that the frame is fully waterproof. If the mirror is meant for a bathroom, please contact me before ordering.

Option: mirror with a bevel

A bevel up to 20 mm wide can be added to the glass. We agree this option before the order is placed.

Additional option: anti-fog heating mat

An anti-fog heating mat (demister pad) reduces steam condensing on the glass. It is an option to agree before ordering, especially for bathrooms.

Choose a size from the list on the product page, remembering that the stated dimension covers the whole mirror including the frame. The thinner 25 mm moulding is intended for smaller formats and the deeper 37 mm for larger ones. Frequently asked questions

Does the stated size include the frame?

Yes. The dimension covers the whole mirror together with its frame. The visible glass is smaller than the overall size, because the frame covers its edges.

Can I order a non-standard size?

Choose a size from the list on the product page. If you need another, write to me and I will check whether it can be made.

Is it suitable for a bathroom, and can I add an anti-fog mat?

I do not claim that the frame is fully waterproof, so please contact me before ordering for a bathroom. The anti-fog heating mat is available as an option to agree in advance.
